Rigid Shaft Structure

• Flat wire outer coil allows the larger inner core to provide additional shaft stiffness
• Increased stiffness of the wire designed to provide stability in the urethra without sacrificing tip flexibility

Device Placement Support

• PTFE coating reduces friction across the wire
• When used in ureteroscopy, the stiffness of the flat wire design provides support for advancement of equipment such as dilatation catheters and ureteral access sheaths.
• Percutaneous insertion of the Amplatz Super Stiff Guide wire into the ureter is designed to facilitate percutaneous dilatation.
