Five-layer foam dressing for pressure ulcer prevention and treatment of heel wounds
Granulox® is an oxygenated spray for the treatment of chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, arterial leg ulcers and mixed leg ulcers for secondary healing of surgical wounds and pressure sores. It can also be used to heal worn and infected wounds.
When Granulox is sprayed on a wound, highly purified hemoglobin is released. It binds to oxygen from this environment and spreads through the wound exudate, and hemoglobin supplies oxygen topically to the bottom of the wound. Providing oxygen to the base of the wound promotes wound healing and patient outcomes.
A convenient spray application makes Granulox a portable and easy-to-use adjunct to standard wound care treatment. Granulox can be applied when the dressing is changed and at least every three days for best results.
Studies report that the use of Granulox results in shorter recovery times, reduced pain scores, and overall cost savings for healthcare providers compared to standard care services.
